John Gill Open Day 10th April 2025 - 11am

Background:

John Gill has been robotic milking since 2023, transitioning from a traditional parlour system. In just two years, his farm has undergone significant improvements, including enhanced workload efficiency, increased milk output, and improved cow comfort. These advancements have led to lower cases of mastitis, enhanced grass management, and a stronger focus on tailoring cow diets based on individual output. John is currently milking 120 mainly Holstein cows, split between spring and autumn calving.

We’re excited to be supporting John Gill at his Alltech and Keenan’s Open Day, where visitors will get a firsthand look at his farm's innovative practices, including the robotic milking system.

Farm Tours:
On the day, visitors will be split into groups for guided tours, providing an opportunity to see the robotic milking system in action and explore the farm’s grazing system. Following the tours, there will be a live Q&A session with John Gill and special guest speakers, offering a chance to learn more about the farm's practices and ask questions.
