Junior Dairy Software Consultant

Do you work with our farm management software Horizon on the dairy farm at home? And do you know all the ins and outs as a user? Would you like to use this knowledge to help optimize Horizon and explaining/training others about this? Then we are looking for you!
Wat does your role entail?
We are looking for a driven professional with experience in dairy farming, preferably in the context of optimizing farm management with the use of management software. As a Junior Dairy Software Consultant in the Farm Management Support (FMS) department at Lely, you are responsible for supporting the optimal use of our farm management software. You will work closely with our international colleagues and other stakeholders, such as our software development teams and the commercial department to ensure that our customers get the most out of our software and improve their business processes. You will be part of the FMS Digital Farming team that works as a bridge between our customers and our software development teams, collecting feedback and solving problems.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Supporting our international colleagues with using our farm management software.
- Delivering training and workshops to our international colleagues and internal teams.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and international stakeholders.
- Involved in the development and validation of new features to ensure it suits the needs of our customers worldwide.
- Actively contribute to improving the software and developing new functionalities in collaboration with software engineers.
- Identify and analyze the needs of farmers and international stakeholders.
Wat is jouw ervaring?
You know your way around the dairy farm, you understand better than anyone what a farmer goes through and what they encounter. You know how to convert this knowledge into practical processes and make the link with how farm management software can satisfy our end customer, the farmer.
You also have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in the agricultural field, preferably in Dronten, Wageningen, Den Bosch or a (technical) education with otherwise gained working knowledge of (dairy) farming.
- At least 1 year of experience in an advising role within the agricultural sector (preferably dairy farming). Previous experience in a software development environment is a big plus, interest in this field is a must.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written command of the English language. You currently live in the Netherlands and have a valid work permit. Command of the Dutch language or willingness to learn is a big plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
