Are you an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer with a passion for supplier quality and continuous improvement? Do you enjoy working closely with Procurement to select the right suppliers and ensure they meet the highest quality standards? Then this is your chance!

At Lely, we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer who will play a key role within our Integrated Supply Chain in ensuring the quality of our suppliers. You will collaborate closely with Procurement, Product Development, and Operations to ensure that purchased components and modules meet our high-quality standards. You will have the opportunity to initiate improvements, elevate suppliers to a higher level, and directly contribute to the reliability of our innovative solutions.

Your key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Implement and enforce quality policies – Ensure that our quality policies are clear and correctly applied by suppliers.
  • Supplier assessment & audits – Conduct supplier audits, both remotely and on-site, and support suppliers in improving their quality processes.
  • Problem analysis & structural improvements – Analyze quality issues and resolve them using methods such as 8D, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Continuous improvement – Identify and guide improvement projects at suppliers to reduce defects and failure costs.
  • Process assurance – Monitor compliance with quality management systems, technical specifications, and legal requirements.
  • KPI management – Define performance indicators (such as PPM and first-pass yield) and translate them into concrete action plans.

Wat is jouw ervaring?

You have experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer and can effectively raise quality standards both at suppliers and within our internal organization. You have strong analytical skills and a hands-on mentality.

Additionally, you have:

  • A completed technical bachelor’s degree (preferably in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering).
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry and knowledge of ISO 9001, APQP, and PPAP processes.
  • A LEAN Green Belt certification or comparable experience in continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience with quality control and assurance techniques, such as FMEA, 8D, and SPC.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in collaborating with (international) suppliers.
