Meteor

Introduction
Preventive hoof care
The Lely Meteor hoof health approach includes a range of products and services designed to help prevent and manage hoof disorders. By focusing on prevention rather than cure, it is a comprehensive solution that combines high-quality products with Farm Management Support and Technical Service Support.
USP
Animal welfare
Healthy hooves reduce lameness, allowing cows to move naturally and comfortably, which improves their overall well-being.
Work pleasure
Fewer hoof problems mean less time treating lame cows, making daily work more enjoyable and efficient while freeing up time for other important tasks.
Free cow traffic
Good hoof health supports smooth, voluntary cow movement. Cows can decide when to eat, rest, or be milked, enhancing cow flow and system efficiency.
Milk production
Healthy, mobile cows visit the milking robot more often, which can lead to more regular milking sessions and improved milk yield.
Our customers

Features
Build on experience
The improved Lely Meteor automatic hoof sprayer type 3.0 has an increased pressure and wide nozzles to ensure to reach the interdigital space of the hooves. The automatic hoof sprayer is an add-on to the Astronaut. When the cow visits the robot to get milked, her hooves are being washed and cared for, without adding any time to the milking process.
The hooves are washed by the Lely Meteor Wash Spray before the milking starts. After milking, the hooves are sprayed with the Lely Meteor Care Spray. Both products are applied with a good pressure and by wide nozzles, increasing the probability of reaching the interdigital space of the hooves, where they are most effective. During the milking process there’s no spraying.

Dry cows and youngstock do not visit the milking robot, but they can infect lactating cows when introduced to this group after calving. To solve this issue, a mobile sprayer is available. The cart can hold a 50-liter reservoir and is equipped with a battery-powered liquid pump.
You can upgrade the mobile sprayer with extra options like an extension hose, short spray lance, with pistol and treatment box.

This hoof bath can be placed in your barn. Cows are routed towards the bath, where they have their hooves washed and cared for by Lely Meteor Hoof Bath Liquid. After a certain amount of passages, the hoof bath is automatically being refreshed. The water containing the detergent Lely Meteor Hoof Bath Liquid is completely renewed. This ensures the effectiveness of the liquid, providing optimal hoof disinfection and care in one action. Furthermore, it helps to prevent contamination.
